For AW25 we’ve collaborated again with artist and designer Evie Kemp. Known for her bold approach to pattern and colour, the exclusive, nature-inspired prints in this year’s collection each capture a unique energy designed to brighten even the greyest days.

Evie says it best - “I believe that style can always go hand-in-hand with function. When the weather is at its worst is when we can most benefit from a boost from our clothing.“

Q & A With Evie Kemp

It’s a true collaboration, the designers at Moke send me their colour story for the season and some moodboards of ideas as a jumping off point. I was really enjoying playing around with alcohol inks and how they bleed so initial experiments in those led me to create the Purple Fleur design.

I try to think a bit differently for each design so that they each resonate with a different audience but are equally strong (I hope!).

My work varies a lot but I spend a lot of time working on interiors and interior decor. Designing for outerwear is SO different from this, thinking about how a design will be worn by people, and in what situations. How the prints look when they’re sewn up, and moving on the body, how the colours appear even in bad weather and how the designs can feel innovative and fresh while fit for purpose are all on my mind.

For this collection I wanted them to feel bold and playful, but with a bit of sophistication thrown in. It’s about having fun with fashion, even when the weather’s less than ideal. The goal was to create something that feels exciting and fresh, but still stylish and practical.

They’re all a bit different of course but I like to think they’re someone who embraces
spontaneity with their style, is a lot of fun and likes a bit of adventure. A bit of rain doesn’t get in the way of the opportunity to dress up or have a good time.
