A quick heads-up: a fake website is impersonating Moke

We’ve become aware of fraudulent websites copying Moke’s images, product descriptions and branding. We’re sharing this notice to help our community recognise them and shop with confidence.

Please remember that fraudulent websites can look very similar to our official store. If you’re ever unsure whether a website or message is genuinely from Moke, please check with our team before making a purchase or sharing personal information.

What has happened to the real Moke website?

Our official website remains safe to shop with. Someone has copied - or “scraped” - publicly available content from our website to create an imitation store.

Copying our photographs, descriptions and branding does not give them access to our systems or customer accounts. We are working to have fraudulent websites taken down.

How to check you’re shopping with Moke

Before placing an order, take a moment to:

• Check the website address. To shop directly with us, type www.moke.co.nz into your browser or use a bookmark you trust.
• Look beyond familiar photos and logos. These can be copied, so a website looking like Moke doesn’t mean it belongs to us.
• Check unexpected emails carefully. A sender’s display name can be misleading. If you’re unsure, start a new email to info@moke.co.nz rather than replying.
• Use a link-checking tool when in doubt. Tools such as Google Safe Browsing’s Site Status checker can help identify known unsafe websites without you visiting them. A clear result is not a guarantee that a website is legitimate, especially if it is new.

Already placed an order on a fraudulent website?

If you’ve paid or entered card details, contact your bank or payment provider promptly and explain what happened. If you created an account using a password you use elsewhere, change it on those other accounts too.
