Hi what is the waterproof rating on this coat. Is it suitable for playing golf in? Regards Deb

Softshell jackets are water resistant and fill the gap between insulation styles and waterproof hardshells. We use 4 way stretch fabric so they offer great movement and breathability.  All Moke softshell styles have a durable water repellent treatment to further help guard against wind and rain. This style would offer decent protection against rain keeping you dry in light to moderate rain however, this style is not waterproof. Please also note and keep in mind the Rach has alot of hardware and is more of a fashion style. Functional but fashionable. Not sure if this would get in the way during a game of golf?

Because the Rach was a few seasons ago, we aren’t confident that our stockists in Christchurch will still have it in store, and many may no longer hold this style in their current inventory.

Hello I live on cold climate area of Australia. How does the warmth of this jacket compare to a 700 fill down jacket please? Thanks and kind regards Jill

Hi....does the Rachael coat fabric hv any degree of breathability as I note it is mainly polyester?

Thanks for your question! The Rach Coat is a polyester softshell which means it is waterproof but also breathes similar to fleece. The fabric also helps regulate your temperature. Therefore the level of breathability is fairly high. Keep in mind, what you layer the under the jacket will also determine how breathable you find the coat. Are the zips YKK? Is there protection between the zip and the wearer's clothing on the inside? Are the zips and other hardware nickel-free? I am nickel allergic.

All of our hardware and trims are nickel free and have a very high standard of testing, to meet all health and environmental requirements.
